Flashgirl is the culmination of Tompkins’ and Wylie’s knowledge and style. With over 500,000 miles of ocean sailing experience, Commodore Tompkins desired the ultimate cruising boat to share with his wife, Nancy. The couple wanted Flashgirl to possess a stunning silhouette to view as they rowed ashore in their Wylie designed nesting-dinghy.

When the keel is up, the shallow draft allows the boat to maneuver around intimate South Sea Island formations. And when the keel is in the down position, 9’ of draft gives wonderful performance to windward and ultimate stability for safety. Commodore’s relentless attention to detail resulted in a one-of-a-kind cockpit, a sculpted transom, and stunning joiner details. Hull and deck laminates are E-glass and carbon to conserve weight and to reinforce stability. Her aluminum rig is skillfully crafted by Alan Blunt and excels in light and heavy winds.
