ROXANNE

Roxanne’s purpose was unlimited bluewater cruising and toddler home school education. Aluminum was selected for its strength and to withstand grounding on coral. Roxanne’s flush deck lends itself to building simplicity and her hard dodger over the deep cockpit affords comfort and protection from the elements. Other significant design details include: hull windows for increased lighting and views, a teak swim step at the mooring, and a sculpted aluminum bowsprit for the anchor and running sails. Her deck and interior are composite foam sandwich, and her large masthead rig, built by Ballenger Spars, was one of the first designs in the world to eliminate the cumbersome genoa.
