CONVERGENCE

“The mission was to create a true sailor’s boat for a family.”

                                                            - Kimball Livingston, Sail Magazine

Convergence is the result of Randy Repass’s tremendous breadth of industry knowledge and his extensive research into new design concepts, such as the freestanding mast and wishbone boom. Randy chose this unique rig design for his family cruiser because it is efficient, fast, and easy to manage. Randy explains, “We looked at Wauquiez, Oyster, Hylas, Stella, etc. before deciding on this rig because we wanted to make the right call.” The majestic carbon rig is over 80’ above the water and was built in an autoclave by Composite Engineering and WYLIECAT. The wishbones are by Chase Boats. The mostly carbon pilothouse fames breathtaking views and allows the helms-person to be inside with the rest of the crew. The shallow draft is achieved with a steel airfoil fin that doubles as a diesel tank and the lead bulb is by WYLIECAT.
